What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so it can recognise you on your next page or your next visit. Browsers also offer similar storage (local storage and session storage) that works the same way without being sent to the server. This policy covers both.
On this website
getapexinsights.com sets one cookie of its own, uses one Google service on its contact form, and loads no advertising or analytics tags today.
| Name | Set by | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| cookie_consent | This website | Remembers the choice you made in the cookie notice (accept, decline, analytics only, or marketing only), so the notice does not ask again. | One year |
| _GRECAPTCHA | Google reCAPTCHA, on the contact page only | Tells a real person's form submission from an automated one. Needed for the form to work; it is not used to track you across sites. | Six months |
The site's typefaces are served by Google Fonts. Google receives the request for the font file and your IP address with it, and sets no cookie for it.
The cookie notice is there for the day analytics or advertising measurement is added. Until you accept, those are set to "denied" in your browser by default (Google Consent Mode), and any tag added later stays denied for visitors who declined.
On the Apex platform
The platform at app.getapexinsights.com, and at a client's own address, uses only the storage it needs to work:
| Purpose | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
| Sign-in | Keeps you signed in between pages and visits. Held in browser storage by the sign-in provider. | Until you sign out, or the session expires |
| Your settings | Remembers the business you were looking at, the tab you had open and similar choices, on that browser only. | Until cleared |
None of this is used for advertising, and none of it is shared with other clients.
Websites Apex publishes for clients
Apex publishes websites for its clients on their own domains. Each of those sites carries its own cookie notice and its own cookie policy, and the client decides which analytics or advertising tags run there. This policy covers Apex's own website and platform only.
Changing your choice
- In the cookie notice. Choose Manage in the notice to accept or decline analytics and marketing separately. Your choice is stored in the cookie_consent cookie.
- In your browser. Every browser lets you see, block and delete cookies and site storage. Blocking the sign-in storage will sign you out of the platform.
- Starting over. Delete the cookie_consent cookie, or clear this site's data in your browser, and the notice asks again.
Changes to this policy
If a new cookie or tag is added, it is listed here and the date at the top changes with it.
