The agreement
These terms are for people who use a staff app that Apex Insights runs for their employer, such as staff.nisigreekgrill.com. They are between you and Apex Insights ("Apex", "we", "us"). Your employer has its own agreement with Apex. These terms cover the app; your job is between you and your employer.
What the staff app is
The staff app shows you information your employer keeps in Apex: your schedule and your team's, the hours you were on the clock, the sales and tips recorded under your name, and your workplace's house guide. Your employer decides which parts of the app are on and who can use it.
Who can use it
You must be 16 or older to use the staff app.
Your sign-in
- Your sign-in is for you alone. Do not share it or let anyone else use the app as you.
- You sign in with your email and a password, or with a code texted to the phone number your employer has for you.
- If you think someone else has used your sign-in, tell your manager and email solutions@getapexinsights.com.
- Your employer can turn your access on or off at any time, for example when you leave the job.
What the figures mean
The hours, sales and tips in the app come from your employer's point-of-sale and scheduling systems. They are there to help you keep track. They are not a pay statement and they do not replace your employer's payroll records. If a figure looks wrong, ask your manager. You are paid from your employer's payroll.
Using the app properly
Do not use the app to:
- look at, or try to reach, information you have not been given;
- copy, post or share your workplace's house guide, recipes, schedules or anyone else's information outside work, unless your employer allows it;
- interfere with the app or test its security.
Your employer's own rules also cover how you treat its information.
Notifications
If you turn on notifications, the app tells you when your schedule is posted or changes. You can turn them off on your profile page or in your phone's settings at any time.
Texts
When you sign in with your phone, Google sends you a one-time code by text on Apex's behalf. Message and data rates may apply. Any other texts from your workplace are optional and ask for your agreement first.
Changes to the app
Apex and your employer improve the app and may add, change or remove features.
No warranty
The app is provided as it is. Apex works to keep it available and accurate, and does not promise that it is always available, free of errors, or that information from your employer's systems is complete.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, Apex is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits a right you have under employment law or any other law that cannot be limited by agreement.
Ending use
You can stop using the app at any time. Your access ends when your employer turns it off or stops using Apex. What happens to your information then is in the Staff App Privacy Notice.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the state where your workplace is. For staff.nisigreekgrill.com, that is Illinois.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the date at the top changes. If a change matters to how you use the app, the app asks you to agree again.
